"Proud Auntie (I Did That)" is an exploration in self motivation and congratulation. One day I was performing and someone lovingly called me "auntie". At first I was taken aback to realize that's the phase I'd found myself in. After taking time to process what that means, I've embraced it as an honor and a responsibility to all my nieces and nephews to make sure they aspire higher and that they buy into the concept of hard work in order to bring better and better music and creativity to the world around them. This video tells the story of how I came from a depressive state of being lost to a pivot toward bigger and better things in accomplishing a new skill/trade all the way up to moving my tassel to the side. The lesson here is to adjust your crown and keep reigning.
